Physician Medical Center opened in late April 2007 with community first case milestones of providing the first navigation guided knee replacement performed in Santa Fe, by Dr. Steven Jones, the first Board Certified and Fellowship Trained, Joint Replacement surgeon to practice in Santa Fe. PMC set a National Surgical Hospital record for opening by exceeding one hundred fifty cases in the first month of operation and won the accolade of zero deficiencies in our initial CMS review. Our volume will double as we pursue JCAHO accreditation later this year.
