Lloyd W. Scarrow, CEO

CEO, Lloyd W. Scarrow, M.B.A., H.O.M., F.A.C.H.E., joins Physicians Medical Center of Santa Fe as a veteran administrator. Scarrow brings enthusiasm for continuing Physician's Medical Center of Santa Fe as state-of-the-art community option for personalized care.

Scarrow earned a Health Organization Management MBA in '95 from Texas Tech University and completed a postgraduate Fellowship with Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in '96. His undergraduate, a Bachelor of Science in Business Management with emphasis in Finance, was completed with Lubbock Christian University in '90. He became a certified Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives in '07.

Scarrow's healthcare career began in the late eighties as a Group I Life, Health, and Accident underwriter with Mutual of Omaha and later specialized in Series 6 & 63 variable investments with Prudential. A mid nineties management role expanding Telemedicine operations for TTUHSC utilizing co-developed technology with NEC of Japan, led to a tenure as a development catalyst for clinical, ancillary, surgical, and tertiary service lines. Working with: Veterans Health Administration, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, and the Texas Youth Commission and other cooperate entities, led Scarrow to his last post with TTUHSC as Southwest Campus Administrator before he joined Parkland Health and Hospital System in the late 90s as Director of Network Development. At Parkland, he led contracting efforts for a newly formed HMO leading recruitment for over 1500 providers for Title 5, CHIP, EPO, and indigent care programs. Scarrow created "Physician Hospital Administrative Solutions" in 2000 while working with Per-'se Technologies, Radiologics, TTUHSC, The Center for Orthopedic Surgery, and Cap Rock Imaging as an administrative advisor before joining National Surgical Hospitals (NSH) in 2003. Prior to starting Physicians Medical Center of Santa Fe, Scarrow led NSH's Arizona Spine and Joint Hospital through triple volume buildup to award winning operation. His endeavors include: numerous committee and lobby efforts in transportation, rural health services, and emergency medicine. He has led fund raising efforts for United Way & Arthritis foundations in addition to serving as an Angel Flight volunteer.

Scarrow resides in Santa Fe with wife Darla, a Family Nurse Practitioner, and maintains his currency as a Commercial Airline Transport Pilot with the aid of son Justin, a Commercial Flight Instructor and a Texas Tech pre-law major. Younger son, Jared, is a Texas high school student.
