Hospital LeadershipW. Anthony Sawtell, Board MemberW. Anthony (Tony) Sawtell is an attorney with the firm of Sawtell, Wirth and Biedscheid. His practice emphasizes business organizations, commercial transactions and financing, real estate, estate planning and commercial litigation. He represents several local physicians and physician groups with respect to business, employment and regulatory issues, andrepresented the largest bank in Santa Fe for over twenty years.Mr. Sawtell is a graduate of Stanford University and the University of New Mexico School of Law, with honors. He is a member of the Order of the Coif, a legal academic honor society. He has taught legal classes to bankers and accountants at the Santa Fe Community College. Mr. Sawtell served for many years as a director of the United Way of Santa Fe County and served two terms as its president. He is founder of the United Church of Santa Fe and has served several terms on its governing body and as its moderator. He has served as legal counsel to a number of charitable, educational, and civic organizations. He is a member of the Business Law and Real Estate, Probate and Trust sections of the American Bar Association and New Mexico Bar Association. He is also a member of Health Law section of the American and New Mexico Bar Association.
